Privacy policy

This policy explains what Near Zero Labs collects when you use nearzerolabs.com, book a session with us, or interact with our channels, how we use it, and the choices you have.

01Who we are

Near Zero Labs (“we”, “us”) operates nearzerolabs.com and the Near Zero Labs accounts on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. For any privacy question or request, write to partners@nearzerolabs.com.

02What we collect

What you give us. When you request a briefing, reserve a $1,000 Cup of Tequila, or email us, we receive what you provide. That can include your name, email address, phone number, title, company, website, social links, and a description of what you want to accomplish.

Scheduling and payment. Sessions are scheduled through Calendly and paid through Stripe. You enter payment details on Stripe’s checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us whether a payment went through, the amount, and the email on the payment.

Collected automatically. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Public pages load the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that a page was viewed, along with device and browser information, so we can measure our advertising. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it delivers them. The booking page stores your booking progress in your browser’s local storage so a refresh doesn’t lose it.

03Livestreamed sessions

The $1,000 Cup of Tequila is livestreamed and recorded. You agree to this when you book. We may publish the recording, edited clips, and a written story about the session and your business on nearzerolabs.com and our social channels. If you have a concern about something we have published, email us and we will review it with you.

04How we use it

  • To respond to you, and to schedule, prepare for and deliver sessions and engagements.
  • To process payments and send booking and payment notices.
  • To keep a record of our relationship with you in our customer database.
  • To measure and improve the site and our advertising.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to mailing lists.

05Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run these functions for us, and only as each function requires:

  • Close, our customer database
  • Calendly, for scheduling
  • Stripe, for payments
  • Resend, for transactional email
  • Vercel, for website hosting
  • Meta, for advertising measurement
  • Google, for fonts and YouTube

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

06Google and YouTube data

We use an internal tool called Brew to publish Near Zero Labs videos. Brew connects to the YouTube Data API, a YouTube API Service, to upload videos and organize playlists on the Near Zero Labs YouTube channel. Only our own team uses it, and only on our own channel.

When the channel owner signs in, Brew asks permission to upload videos and to manage the channel’s videos and playlists. The data it reads is limited to the channel’s ID and title and the videos and playlists on that channel. The sign-in token is stored only on the computer that runs Brew. Brew does not share or sell this data, and does not use it for advertising.

Brew’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. By using YouTube API Services through Brew, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can withdraw Brew’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

07How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, for our business records, or as the law requires. After that, we delete it.

08Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing partners@nearzerolabs.com. You can limit advertising measurement by blocking third-party cookies in your browser or by changing your ad preferences with Meta.

09Children

Our site and services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10Security

We use reasonable safeguards and reputable providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11Changes

When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top of this page.
