  1. Human 1.0

Your life runs on an operating system written for about eighty years.

For most Americans, the last twelve or so come in poor health. Nearly every rule you live by quietly assumes it.

  2. Now suppose

You knew you had 150 good years.

Not hoped. Knew. Mind sharp, body working, your people around you. Hold that thought, and run your life through it one assumption at a time.

  3. 01 / 06 Your peak

The old OS: Thirty. Coast after fifty.

The update: Still building at ninety.

At ninety you would still have sixty good years ahead. Nobody coasts for sixty years.

  4. 02 / 06 Sixty-five

The old OS: The finish line.

    The update: Not even halftime.

Halftime is seventy-five. At sixty-five you are still playing the first half.

  5. 03 / 06 Your work

The old OS: One career, then rest.

The update: Three or four, each one chosen.

A career runs thirty or forty years. A hundred and fifty good years has room for three or four, and you get to pick every one.

  6. 04 / 06 Your body

The old OS: Fix it when it breaks.

The update: A 150-year asset. Maintain it daily.

Nothing lasts a century and a half on repairs. It lasts on upkeep: about 54,750 days of it.

  7. 05 / 06 What goes in

The old OS: Whatever is convenient.

The update: Near zero contaminants: food, water, air, skin.

What goes in you stays a while. Over a hundred and fifty years, a while adds up. So you take it toward zero.

  8. 06 / 06 Your people

The old OS: Whoever is left.

The update: Friends for a century. Invest early.

A friendship that lasts a hundred years starts early and gets tended. Like the body, it compounds.

  9. Human 2.0 · Release notes

Same you. Longer horizon. Every decision changes.

There is one document everyone gets. Here is how the update rewrites it.

  10. The one document everyone gets

The old OS: Your Name, 79. Peaked at thirty, coasted after fifty, and retired at sixty-five from the only career they ever had. Spent the last twelve years in and out of waiting rooms. Survived by whoever was left.

The update: Your Name, 150. Still building at ninety, and called sixty-five halftime. Had four careers and chose every one. Kept their body like an heirloom. Survived by friends of a hundred years, who all came to the party.

Same person. Same body. A different set of assumptions.

  11. 7,800 weeks

One square for every week of 150 good years.

The old OS planned for 4,160 of them. The update hands you 3,640 more.

What goes in you and on you

The levers are in your home.

In half a million people, environment and lifestyle explained about 17 points of the variation in who died early. Genetic risk explained under 2. You can change your surroundings.

The body keeps the receipts.

PFAS turn up in nearly every American tested, and plastics are now being found in arteries and brain tissue. What goes in you stays in you for a while.

What you remove, the body clears.

After two PFAS chemicals were phased out, the levels in American blood fell 70 to 85 percent. Exposure moves.

What makes the years good ones

Healthspan, not lifespan.

Americans spend 12.4 years in poor health at the end of life, the widest gap on earth. A long life only counts if the years work.

Fitness is the strongest signal.

Across 122,000 treadmill tests, the least fit died at five times the rate of the most fit, and no ceiling was found.

People are the longest-lived habit.

Strong relationships raise the odds of survival by about half. Sleep, purpose and people belong on the same list as diet.

Where you eatKitchens that cook with near zero contaminants

Restaurants with zero seed oils, 100% non-GMO ingredients, no refined sugar, and coffee lab-tested for mold and heavy metals. They will show you the lab reports.

Where you measureA clinic that measures the years

Biological age, 100+ biomarkers and toxin panels, then hormones, recovery and oxygen therapies under clinical care.

How it connectsEat at one, measure at the other

What you put in shows up in what they measure. Near Zero Living is where the two meet.
